Roseland Preservation Trust

Roseland is a unique town that looks to do unique things. Not quite a city, but far more than just a residential community with some business uses, it needs to have a means to govern itself so that the vision of Roseland is carried out not only today, but fifty years from today.

The Roseland Preservation Trust will serve as the underlying governing body for Roseland. A non-profit entity with its own Board of Directors, the Trust will provide oversight of the extensive programs in Roseland including cultural, educational and environmental programs.

The heart of the RPT will be the regular refining and enhancing of the programs that Roseland delivers. It takes a lot to create a town in only a few years, and there will be regular evaluation of how the progress is made on all fronts. Builders will be evaluated for consistency with their responsibilities. Shops will be evaluated for how they participate in the community aspects of town. The RPT will lead the programs of the community parks as well as the cultural and social offerings.

Perhaps most importantly, RPT will pursue ways in which the community can provide levels of affordability to residents in ways that enhance the community, and reintroduce the notion that our incomes shouldn't be the sole criteria for entry into a great place.

Because even in Roseland, there will be people that must come and go, the Roseland Preservation Trust will always be here.
